The Challenge

One of Greenwich’s clients in the super-yacht industry was unsure why their online marketing was not delivering new leads, despite having invested in a website, and built up a large audience on social media. Getting their online strategy right is crucial for the future of the business, which has aggressive growth plans. Greenwich commissioned us to trouble-shoot their client’s online marketing activities, and develop a strategy for them.

The Objectives

• Understand what’s working with the client’s current marketing, and what isn’t
• Clarify where they should invest money – and what marketing expenses to cut
• Develop clear next steps, to fix any gaps we uncover
• Establish a long-term strategy, to help the client generate a steady stream of new leads online, and nurture existing clients to turn them into repeat business

What we did

We ran a full review of everything the client was doing online, looking in detail at their website content and structure, Search Engine Optimisation, social media activity and behind-the-scenes stats, sales funnel etc. To uncover why they were not generating enough leads, questions we asked included: How many people are reaching you, and who are they? Is your website user-friendly? Is the content relevant to the audience? Are there mechanisms to convert visitors? Are proper internal processes in place? And more….. At the same time, we examined the competition, to uncover any gaps in the market, and any successful examples which the client could build upon. We determined their strengths and weaknesses online, and the areas which must be a priority to in order to achieve the results they want. We are currently building a full-fledged strategy, which clarifies their goals, the needs of their audience, their key messages, the platforms they need to use and how, and the sales funnel they must develop to get more business online.
