A few years ago, one of our clients wanted to run a big marketing campaign between Christmas and New Year’s.
I was reluctant.
I was sure that all their patients would all be on vacation, and that the campaign would be a big flop.
So you can imagine my trepidation when we sent out that first email….
And….
The responses started flooding in.
In fact, it brought in the highest return of any campaign we’d run all year.
Since then, we run an intensive “mega campaign” for all the clinics we work with one-on-one every year, between Christmas and New Year’s. They’re always a smash hit.
It’s the perfect time to market aesthetic treatments, for two reasons:

It’s almost a physical compulsion.
We even see plenty of people opening emails on Christmas Day…
They’re clearly sneaking out of their Christmas lunches to check their messages – taking a breather from all the family activities and perhaps the washing up
2. This is a time of the year when people are naturally thinking about what they want out of life, what they want to accomplish in the new year and how they want to look and feel.
And they’re making decisions to transform their bodies and their lifestyles.Their New Year’s resolutions often focus on their fitness, their health and their shape…
So they are particularly open to marketing around body sculpting, skin tightening and so on. You can send them the exact right offer at the exact right moment.
The bottom line?
With Christmas just around the corner, it’s tempting to wind down your marketing between now and January.
Your clinic may be closed during the holidays, either by choice or due to tighter Coronavirus restrictions.
And you and your staff are definitely due a break…
The last year has been exhausting, physically and mentally.
But that would be a mistake.
This is a time of the year when people are naturally thinking about what they want out of life, what they want to accomplish in the new year and how they want to look and feel.
Next week is an opportunity to ramp up your marketing, not tone it down!
Now, lots of clinics do run these kind of campaigns in January. But by then, your patients are already inundated with emails from competitors, other companies and their boss.
And their head is back in work… Life gets busy again.
So why wait?
(Admittedly this is more difficult if your clinic cannot currently offer cosmetic treatments because of Coronavirus restrictions..
…But that makes it even more urgent to stay in close touch with your patients. You should also use this period to line them up for treatments you can deliver as soon as you resume full services.)
