So what’s the best way to generate new business?
- Telemarketing?
- Email marketing?
- Social media?
The correct answer is all three.
As well as using the phone and email, it’s highly likely that your client will be using at least one of the main social media channels (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+). And if you want to build your relationship with your clients, you need to go to wherever they’re going.
And the best way to do that is to add Xobni to your Microsoft Outlook or Gmail. Xobni is a CRM plugin that appears on the right hand side of each email. It gives you detailed information about your contacts:
- How many emails you’ve sent each other
- Details of files and links exchanged
- Details of the person’s social contacts
- All the person’s other contact details including: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn – Xobni enables you to then connect with them on those channels.
Say, you’ve met a potential customer. You can add him to your address book and email him a quote. You can connect to him on LinkedIn and continue educating him about your products and services. You can also follow him on Twitter and monitor what his interests and thoughts are (and what he’s saying about you!). This will help you (a) understand his needs better and (b) make it easier to stay in touch with him. By having a strong presence on his social networks, you occupy a larger share of his “mind space”. And the more ubiquitous you become, the more likely he is to think of you when the time comes to purchase a relevant product or service.
Your online and offline presence depend on each other. Make sure you don’t separate them!
