A retweet is when you want to publicize a post that someone has made on Twitter. This may be because somebody has said something interesting or because you simply want to promote somebody else. I am going to show you how to retweet.
If you click on retweet, Twitter will ask you to confirm that you want to retweet that person and then it will automatically show that retweet in your timeline. So everyone who follows you will see that tweet, and there is the sign that shows that that has been retweeted. Now, there is a drawback of retweeting this way, and that is that no one can actually see that you were the person who retweeted that.
You also don’t have the ability to do any comments on that retweet. So, here is an alternative way to retweet that will actually help to publicize the fact that you retweeted it. Now, the advantage of that manner of retweeting is that you can actually put a comment in retweet and people can see that it is you who retweeted and what you had to say.
So, what you should do is copy the tweet, paste it into your tweet and then put in RT, which means retweet just before the twitter handle of the person you are retweeting.
You should then have some room to put in your own comments.
